Have you met St. Nicholas? I guess it is every child’s dream on the night of 5th of December to sneak down the stairs and see St. Nick filling their sock, shoe, sack, etc. – depending on which part of the world you are from – and knowing that he really does exist because they have seen him with their own eyes. As a child, I often wondered how the meeting would go… would he notice me or talk to me? If so, what would he say? What would I say? I would probably ask him how he delivered presents to so many children all over the world and why.

St. Nicholas was such a beautiful person because regardless of his wealth and position, he could always put himself in another’s shoes and see were love and attention was needed (no matter the cost to him) to make that person feel understood and special. His spirit was exactly what I wanted to capture in this project.
