Project: Home Again
Moving poses many challenges. Although the kids had a blast unpacking and playing with boxes standing all around, I wanted to do something for them that was nice and not just a plain cardboard box to play with. I used some of the last boxes to build a small cardboard house for them to play “make believe puppy” and read in. As my older daughter’s favorite color is purple, I knew I wanted it to be mostly in that color. I went to a local craft shop and found some cute unicorn wrapping paper with a pastel purple background. I also found a perfectly matching wall sticker lamp. For the inside, I used a more subtle pink and white stripe with little glitter hearts that reminded me of wallpaper. For the roof, I took a silver diamond pattern that shimmers and was a bit stronger in paper structure.
