Project: Christmas in a Nutshell

With the many facets of Christmas celebrations, I have tried to capture many of the key figures in my ornamental creations. I am starting by revealing my St. Nicholas of Myra ornaments. I have made two variations, one smaller made using an Austrian Zwetschgen pit (like a small plum) I saved after making a Zwetschgenkuchen this summer. The bigger version is made with a hidden walnut shell box to hold a golden chocolate covered almond, a favorite around Christmas in Austria.
